Nestled on the slopes of Huye Mountain, at the fringes of the Nyungwe National Forest, David Rubanzangabo’s washing station is dedicated to supporting smallholder farming in Rwanda, partnering with around 500 local producers.
David has organised farmers around the washing station, with income and profits contributing towards food security for the local community along with primary education and livestock. With a focus on quality, he has ensured a big increase in prices for local farmers and regular success in the Cup of Excellence Competition.
This naturally processed lot is an outstanding example of the work at Huye Mountain; the red bourbon coffee, coupled with altitude as high as 2,300 metres brings complexity and great flavour in the cup.
