Nyungwe is named after the national park that lies to the west of where this coffee was grown. The coffee was processed at Bwenda station which is owned and managed by Bernard Uwitije, a local farmer who has been focusing on speciality coffee since 2016.

This specific lot was produced by a group of growers that Bernard knew to be producing top quality lots without having access to a local washing station; until recently they were isolated from the speciality coffee market. Bernard built his washing station in 2018 so that these growers could realise the potential of their coffee.

Coffees from this region often have wine-like characteristics, with a fruity quality - this micro-lot is a stunning example.
