Current Vacancies - Barista & Production Assistant
Our roastery cafe reflects our ethos. We offer quality, locally sourced products and showcase just how good a cup of coffee can taste.
Role & Title: Barista and Production Assistant
Hours: 3 - 5 days (including weekend work)
Probationary Period: 3 Months
Excellent rate of pay, dependent on experience.
Requirements:
- Hospitality experience
- Calm & methodical working approach
- Enthusiasm, willing to pitch in where needed and ability to use your own initiative
- Confident working both autonomously and as part of a team
- People person
Role:
- Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Occasionally run shifts and lead the team. Responsible for opening and closing when appropriate.
- Maintain a consistent team effort throughout shifts eg; dishes/clearing tables/welcoming customers.
- Manage stock levels and minimise waste
- Setup & pack down (including food prep, counter displays and all the normal cleaning and hygiene procedures).
- Responsible for a high level of cleanliness throughout all service areas of the kitchen
- Consistent working patterns, flexibility will be required for weekend work. Rotas are published monthly.
- Keep our EHO records & diaries up to date
- Participate in team training events
Desirable
- Experience working with speciality coffee
- Barista experience - training will be given
