Microlot Coffee

Microlot Coffee

We source coffees from individual producers, farmers or estates. No matter the size of the lot, our buying standards always focus on traceability and quality.

Sometimes we will find coffees with limited availability. Often we refer to these selections as microlots: A microlot is a relatively small, carefully separated lot; usually chosen because it stands out for its quality, flavour, or story.

What makes microlot coffee interesting is that it is not just about being small, but about being specific. A microlot might come from one producer, one plot of land, one variety, or one particular harvest.

Last month we launched a new range of coffees - Method Microlots. While we already offer coffees that fit these broad definitions, this new limited edition range will allow us to showcase some special discoveries that will only be available in small quantities.

Limited Edition Microlots

The idea for these limited selections is that they will give us the opportunity to share a wider range of coffees with our community. Sometimes these picks will cater for more niche preferences, other times we may just want to offer some contrasting lots from the same producer - we’re excited to see where the project takes us.

We’re starting with two very accessible coffees that we think will appeal to everyone, one from Mexico and one from Brazil. Both come from producers we’ve had the pleasure of visiting and meeting in person, making it even more special for us to share their coffees with you. We’re proud to support their work and highlight the care behind the coffee.
