Home Barista Workshop

A comprehensive 3 hour practical course designed for everyone.

Learn how to create great espresso and milk-based drinks from your very own kitchen and develop your specialty coffee knowledge and sensory skills.

The workshop requires no previous experience and also includes a 250g bag of coffee to take home, so you can put your new skills to the test right away.

10am – 1pm

Please arrive ten minutes early to ensure a prompt 10am start and make time for a pre-workshop brew !

The Home Barista Workshop will begin with a guided cupping of our coffee range, giving you insight on the impact that origin, terroir and post harvest processing methods have on a coffee's flavour profile. 

You’ll learn the fundamentals of pulling great shots, looking at all the elements from espresso recipes to adjusting your grinder for better results. There will be plenty of time for hands-on practice using our La Marzocco espresso machines.

Looking at milk steaming technique, you’ll learn how to achieve glossy, microfoam milk for drinks such as flat whites and cappuccinos, alongside some latte art practice too.

We’ll finish the course with a Q&A session about coffee, espresso machines and any other questions you may have!

When you book your place, you won’t need to do anything else; we will contact you the week before the workshop is scheduled and confirm all the necessary details.

The course will take place at our training facility in Arch 50, situated next door to our Roastery & Cafe at Arch 51 (WR1 3BH)
